The generating set is
housed inside a metal cab/canopy of which the internal surfaces are
lined with inalterable, non-flammable material certified as Zero Class
with respect to its reaction to fire. The galvanized, painted metal
plates are guaranteed against corrosion. The soundproofing material
(high density glass wool) is fixed by galvanized perforated plates and
lined with a fibreglass film to protect it from dusts and possible fuel
vapours.ts supplied with shutters, complete with inalterable rubber
gaskets, which can be opened on both sides for easy access to every part
of the machine. Hinges and fixing bolts and nuts are all in galvanized
steel and closure is granted by handles with key lock.
The ventilation silencers for air input and output (noise traps) are
built in the form rectangular cases. They consist of parallel vertical
baffles which are also parallel to the air flow. The baffles which are
alternated by empty spaces to allow air flow, are built with micro
chequered steel plate which contain the soundproofing material (high
quality glass wool lined with fibreglass film). The sound proofing
baffles are designed for a full air flow width which considers the
option of continuous functioning for the generating set. The cab/canopy
is installed complete with conveyors and relevant connectors to ensure a
proper internal ventilation as well as birds proof steel wire nets in
order to avoid the introduction of unwanted materials or animals. In
case of cabs located in unprotected open spaces, the ventilation
silencers are fitted with finned anodized aluminium anti-rain grills.
The muffler for the exhaust gases (one or more according to output
continuous duty) has a high sound proofing capacity and is fitted
externally on the cabs roof.
Its constructed with welded carbon steel in a cylindrical shape.
Inside, its lined with fire proofing, sound proofing material, in glass
wool suitable for the high temperatures reached (about 500/600ฐC). Its
complete with flange joint, flexible expansion coupling to absorb
vibrations and thermal expansions, connecting elbows, supports and plate
for fixing to the roof including sealing sheath, rain protection flap in
case of vertical exit of the gases. The external surface is lined with a
black paint suitable for high temperatures.
The soundproofing material is certified as Zero Class with respect to
its reaction to fire according to a test report released by an
authorized institute.
Equivalent continuous noise level is measured in 65ฑ3
dB(A) at 7 meters. (According to ISO3744 AND ISO3746 rules).
