The generating set will be housed inside a metal container with ISO international dimensions ranging from 20, 25 and 30 feet.
It’s constructed with a metal sills frame with corner blocks according to ISO rules, complete with eyebolts for the hoisting of the container welded in the floor and ceiling corners. The floor is constructed with non-skidding anti-slipping chequered steel plate.
Walls and ceiling consist of galvanized plate panels with sound-proofing material (glass wool certified as Zero Class with respect to its reaction to fire) fitted internally and fixed by micro-chequered and perforated steel plate. Glass wool lined with a fibreglass film to protect it from possible fuel vapours. Painting of the galvanized metal structures with products guaranteed against corrosion and finished with the chosen colour paint.
The ventilation silencers (noise traps) are built in the form rectangular cases with the same materials as above.
The sound proofing baffles are designed for a full air flow width which considers the option of continuous functioning for the generating set. The container is installed complete with conveyors and relevant connectors to ensure a proper internal ventilation as well as birds proof steel wire nets in order to avoid the introduction of unwanted materials or animals and finned anodized aluminium anti-rain grills.
It’s supplied with shutters for opening and access, complete with water and dust proof rubber closures and gaskets. The service entry to allow access to operators is supplied with safety, type tested internal opening handle and with external handle with key lock.
Internal lighting of the container is granted by a neon lamps system having protection level IP55 according to the CEI rules.
The muffler for the exhaust gases (one or more according to output continuous duty) has a high sound proofing capacity and is fitted externally on the container’s roof. It’s constructed with welded carbon steel in a cylindrical shape. Inside, it’s lined with fire proofing, sound proofing material, in glass wool suitable for the high temperatures reached (about 500/600°C). It’s complete with flange joint, flexible expansion coupling to absorb vibrations and thermal expansions, connecting elbows, supports and plate for fixing to the roof including sealing sheath, rain protection flap in case of vertical exit of the gases. The external surface is lined with a black paint suitable for high temperatures.
The soundproofing material is certified as Zero Class with respect to its reaction to fire according to a test report released by an authorized institute.
Equivalent continuous noise level is measured in 65±3 dB(A) at 7 meters. (According to ISO3744 AND ISO3746 rules).
